The C8FSHE Compound Miter Saw features a powerful 9.2-amp motor that generates a no-load speed of up to 5,500 RPM for making crosscuts and miters with ease. The electronic speed control ensures consistent RPM throughout the cut, so you get smooth, precise, controlled cuts each and every time.

Compound Feature for Precise Miters and Bevels
Hitachi designed the C8FSHE for versatile, easy use. The thumb-actuated positive miter stops allow for simple miter adjustments at the most common angles: 15.0, 22.5, 31.6, and 45.0 degrees to the right or left. This design allows you to easily change the angle of the cutting blade for creating miters in crown molding and other trim pieces. And with a bevel range of 48 degrees to the left and five degrees to the right, the Hitachi C8FSHE provides gorgeous bevels on the first try.

The 8-1/2-inch TCT saw blade (included) makes easy work of delicate trim and other woodwork, and the linear ball-bearing slide system and pivoting fence allow for accurate cutting of large workpieces up to 2-9/16 inches high and 12 inches deep.

LED and Laser Marker Technology for Perfect Cuts Everytime
Hitachi equipped the C8FSHE Sliding Compound Miter Saw with a fully adjustable LED work light that illuminates the table from any angle for bright visibility. The lamp is mounted to the top of the saw, so it stays out of the way until you need it.

Additionally, this tool features Hitachi’s exclusive Laser Marker System, which can be activated before the blade is in motion for exact alignment and predictable blade placement. Simply line up the laser with your mark on the workpiece, and the saw blade will make an exact cut along the laser guide. As long as your measurements are right, your cuts will be, too!

Chock-Full of User-Friendly Features
The C8FSHE contains plenty of features to help you make the perfect cut the first time. To start, a splinter guard behind the fence reduces tear-out for clean, finished cuts. For further refinement, a comfortable vertical handle with a vibration-reducing elastomer grip keeps you in control at all times, a large table provides a stable guide and sturdy support, and a built-in clamping system holds your workpiece in place.

The C8FSHE also includes a dust collector that minimizes accumulation of dust and particles in both your workspace and the saw’s interior components, keeping your jobsite clean and prolonging the life of the tool. An added bonus, easily accessible carbon brushes will help your saw perform for the long term.

Weighing just 32 pounds and measuring just 31-3/32 x 21-27/32 x 19-3/32 inches (LxWxH), the C8FSHE is the lightest tool in its class, making it the most portable 8-1/2-inch slide miter saw with laser marker on the market.

Durably built, this tool is backed with an industry-leading five-year warranty. It is compatible with Hitachi’s UU610 and UU610CZ Universal Work Stations.

Not as good as I had hoped, but after I align it, it will do the job. I did some initial tests to determine how well this saw is aligned from the factory and immediately discovered that the fence was not true. I was able to loosen the attachment bolts on the left half of the fence and using a machinists square, get it aligned properly, but when I put a straight edge across to the right side, I discovered that there is simply not enough play in the clearance holes to get the right fence where it belongs. The clearance holes are part of a thin wall casting and so…

Radial Arm Replacement This is replacing an old radial arm saw. Came perfectly set up out of the box. First project involved mitered corners. Dead on. Still trying to figure out how to connect to my dust collection system with minimum cost and complexity. In the meantime the bag collector works fine. Will probably replace the plastic cutting guide with a wood track for an absolute fit to the blade and minimum bottom side splintering (ala radial arm style). Full 1×12 crosscut. The electronic brake arcing is a bit off…

Happy little saw Been using now for a couple weeks and I love it. If you’re debating between a big miter saw and a smaller, sliding saw, go with the slider. Purchased a Freud blade as well, never used the stock one. Do wish I had gone up to a 10″ saw so that I could cut a 4×4 without turning it over but I’ve managed with this and it’s accurate cuts.
