JUNK Porter cable use to make this product in Mexico and it was a real deal it worked great and would last for years with heavy usage. The newer version is made in China and will last less than 30 days. I’ve tried several on them. I switched to Bosch based on my disappointment with this product

Not the 7335!!!!! Hello I have two 7335 sanders that are 15 and 20 yrs old. They have needed minimal repair (bearings, cords, bushes, ect.) in this period in spite of the abuse they suffer!! We sand with these tools constantly. I sanded the floors of my first house with the 20yr old unit.700 sq ft of heart pine. I have many sanders of all types and if you look in my employee’s hands these units are the preferred choice. All I ask is why the hell do we have to ship our jobs overseas and be inundated with…

We have used Porter Cable sanders for over 20 years. The venerable 7336 has been a work horse over the years (we have 8 of them). Recently; some of 7336 sanders finally started to go downhill; after very hard service. We decided to upgrade to this 7346 model – We purchased 2 of these about a year ago and both have failed – bad power switch and a metal failure in the random orbit attachment point.
