Jeff Bryson "Mr. Sandman" says:

Best 5″ ever! (And I know!) I am what you call a “power user” of 5″ sanders. I have an old milk crate of burned up Dewalt(4), PC(3), Makita (2) and Ryobi (1) sanders that I have accumulated over the last 10 or so years to testify that well over 25 linear MILES of 1×6 and 1×8 panelings, approximately 500 exposed stair treads with handrails, hundreds of beams, 1,000s of feet of trim and mouldings and even several sets of cabinetry have fallen victim to the extreme test of endurance that I have asked of them. (I don’t know…

Ryan Sparreboom "Boomr" says:

Promising start…dissapointing finish. Twice. I bought this sander as an upgrade to a quickly diminishing (in quality) Ridgid sander. I am a hobbyist woodworker and work with some of the hardest woods around, making everything from household items to gallery quality furniture. I initially found this sander to be of very good quality, quickly removing material and leaving an excellent finish. Then the unit crapped out on me. The motor just died. No warning, and no apparent reason. Thinking I just got a one off defective unit, I returned it…

Paul A. Plumb says:

Smoothest and Fastest This sander surprised me right out of the case. It’s low profile was unusual, but proved comfortable. The profile could easily prevent you from pressing down too hard on the sander. It’s much easier to “let the sander do the work”. The aggressiveness of stock removal was impressive, yet the surface finish was smooth and clean. Swirl marks were hard to detect. All in all, I very happy with this unit.
