Build quality not up to par I choose refurbs when the price point cost/benefit ratio makes sense. This machine has good power. Used it on a project next to a Dewalt. The Skil was impressive…until the mounting pad, to which the sanding discs attach, came partially unglued from the machine. My guess is that the problem I had is not endemic to the refurbs, and more likely due to a quality assurance issue at the factory. Too bad.
