A necessary evil I think this is a weakness in the Paslode line of impulse finish nailers. I need these tips to prevent excessive damage to woodwork, but they actually do some damage of their own. It’s a tricky balance…the tip has to be hard enough to hold up to normal usage, yet soft enough not to mar the wood-it accomplishes a little of both. These tips have to be replaced periodically because they tear and break apart after moderate use. They prevent slippage when nailing and help prevent damage, but not…
