an appropriate tool for smaller jobs I just installed 200sqft of 3/4in heart pine in my house with this, using 2in cleats. I did not find it particularly physically taxing, since I spent a lot of time cutting the boards and speculating about fitting the grain of the boards; as a result, it took a couple of easygoing days. The ease and speed of a pneumatic tool would have been an expensive overkill. There is a ratchet mode that allows driving the cleats with multiple short blows. I had to practice for some time before getting the…

Great for extended projects I am using this nailer for installing 3/4 inch oak that was salvaged from a house demolition. This is my first installation and when I researched nailers I was intimidated by the “muscle” factor most people said they needed to use this. It was actually very easy to use, and I didn’t have to buy or rent a compressor or worry about hoses or the amount of pressure needed. and very easy to use I’ve never done flooring before, and after installing 1000sq/ft of handscraped white oak I know that without this nailer it would not have gone so smooth. It’s ridiculously well made, and very easy to use. Would easily purchase again and would highly recommend! The one thing I would mention is be ready to REALLY hit it in order to drive the nail. I’m 6’2, 230lbs and a former college wrestler. The amount of effort to drive a nail in some cases was very difficult.
