BOSTITCH F33PT 33-Degree Paper Tape Framing Nailer / Metal Connector Nailer

Framing, siding, decking, installing metal connectors, attaching wood to masonry, driving big nails into hard engineered lumber–you name it–this versatile and lightweight framing nailer from Bostitch does it all. Two nailers in one, this framing gun includes two quick-change nosepieces to convert the tool for either framing or metal connector applications. A factory installed sequential trigger and Bostitch’s exclusive Smart Trigger ensure optimal control and faster production.

Operating in either bump- or sequential-fire modes, the tool’s lightweight magnesium housing means easy handling and unsurpassed durability. Weighing just 7.9 pounds, the tool handles great in tight quarters like attics and during otherwise shoulder-burning overhead tasks. The innovative design is also a godsend when nailing top plates to floor joints or when crawling under that low deck to reinforce the new hot-tub. A patented push-button, depth-of-drive control of course means there’s no adjusting compressor pressure, but also that you don’t have to fumble for tools or awkward switches when you’re standing on a steep roof. Just set the compressor at 80 psi and adjust the depth as needed.

The unit drives 1-1/2-inch STRAPSHOT fasteners as well as all 1-1/2- and 3-1/2-inch metal connector nails measuring .131 to .162 inches in diameter. An interchangeable tip helps place nails accurately for metal connector applications. One of the most powerful framers in its class, this nailer offers 1,050 in./lbs. of driving power.

For less downtime and more productivity, a notched, 16-inch layout indicator on the magazine helps achieve correct distance between studs in a matter of seconds. And, bolt-on, steel wear guards with integrated rubber skid pads protect the tool from bumps and drops for unsurpassed durability and years of use. –Brian D. Olson

  1. Power and Versatility! I already own a pneumatic framing nailer. I purchased this gun in the hopes that I would be able to use the metal-connector tip to shoot regular framing nails into the toenail holes on joist hangers. (We had one job that required almost 1000 metal connectors.) I already own the MCN150, which ROCKS, so I used that for all the smaller nails. Not only did the positive-placement tip work better than I ever thought it would, but this gun also packs enough punch to bury framing nails…

  2. A poor choice I have been using nail guns for 31 years, and purchased three Bostitch nailers this year alone. All have broken down. I was attracted to the F33 due to its ability to nail joist hangers (hate nailing them by hand). The gun worked reasonably well, except that the head kept falling off. Locktite didn’t help, nor did my local dealer’s repair person. I shipped it back for repair 6 weeks ago. The parts are backordered. I called Bostitch and was told repeatedly that they did not get involved with…
